Performance Evaluations and Lameness

Regular evaluations of your equine athlete’s performance and movement are key to catching small issues before they become career-ending injuries.

A performance or lameness exam involves a thorough movement exam with joint flexions and a comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluation. Following this initial examination, we can offer a range of diagnostics to determine the best course of treatment and rehabilitation:

  • Under saddle examination and ridden behaviour assessment
  • Nerve and joint blocks
  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound

Rhythm Equine offers a wide range of treatment options for lameness and performance issues in horses. We work as a team with you and your other equine care providers to determine the best course of action for you and your horse.
